'About Street Food Series:-  The makers of Chef’s Table have a new series headed to Netflix later this month that will focus on renowned chefs who cook inexpensive food in modest, family-run restaurants and hawker stalls throughout Asia. In the just-released trailer for Street Food, chefs are shown preparing a dizzying array of noodles, seafood dishes, roasted meats, soups, and snacks. It’s clear from the trailer that, much like Chef’s Table, the new show will cover the life stories of these talented cooks while also highlighting their signature dishes. Chef’s Table creator David Gelb is an executive producer on this new series along with his frequent collaborators Brian McGinn, Andrew Fried, and Dane Lillegard.  Each episode will focus on one destination, and three or four local street food stars. For this first season, dubbed Street Food: Asia, the show will take viewers to Thailand, India, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. One of the chefs included here is Jay Fai, the first Bangkok street-side restaurant chef to receive a Michelin star. “I’m old but I always tell them, you may be younger but I’m stronger,” she says in the trailer. The series will also profile 100-year-old Mbah Lindu, who serves jackfruit stew in a market in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. And the Singapore episode will shine the spotlight on 85-year-old wanton noodle legend Master Tang.'
